Terms and refunds.

The short version: you pay for a clear scope, half now and half at launch is there for bigger builds, monthly plans can be cancelled any time, and if I don't deliver what we agreed, you get your money back for it.

01 How this works

I'm Ayush Meher, a freelance web developer based in Ahmedabad, India. These terms cover any order you place through this website: website builds, custom work and fixes, SEO and marketing plans, and the care plan.

When you pay for an order, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, email me before you order and I'll explain.

02 Your order and its scope

Each package lists what it includes: pages, products, revisions and delivery time. That list, plus anything we agree in writing by email, is the scope of your order.

Work outside the scope, such as extra pages or new features after we've agreed the plan, is quoted separately before I start it. Nothing extra is charged without your say so.

For custom projects, the discovery step ends with a written plan and a fixed quote. That quote becomes the scope for the project.

03 Prices and payment

Prices are in USD and are fixed for your order once you pay. Payments go through PayPal, by PayPal balance or by card. I never see or store your card details.

Prices on the site can change over time, but a change never affects an order you've already paid for, or a monthly plan you're already on, without telling you first.

You are responsible for any taxes or bank fees that apply on your side.

04 Half now, half at launch

For the Business and Store website packages, you can pay half of the build to start and the other half when the site is ready to launch. This applies to the build and its add-ons only (extra pages, extra products and rush delivery). Everything else on the order, like a discovery, an audit or a monthly plan, is paid in full.

When your site is ready, I send the second half as a PayPal invoice. The site goes live, and I hand over full access, once that invoice is paid.

05 Monthly plans

SEO monthly and Meta Ads monthly are paid in advance. The first month is charged when you sign up, and then on the same day every month for the month ahead.

The care plan is paid at the end of each month, after the work is done. Your first charge is one month after you sign up, and nothing is charged on the day you sign up.

The first month of plans paid in advance is part of your payment on the day you order. After that, all your monthly plans run as one PayPal subscription for their combined price, starting one month after you order. That first subscription charge covers the next month of any plan paid in advance and the first month of the care plan.

You can cancel any time from your PayPal account or by emailing me. Cancelling stops all future charges. For plans paid in advance, the work continues until the end of the month you've already paid for. To stop one plan and keep another, email me and I'll move you to a subscription for just the plans you keep.

Ad budgets for Meta Ads are never part of my fee. You pay Meta directly, on your own account and card.

06 Delivery and revisions

Delivery times start when I have what I need from you to begin (see below), not just when you pay. If I'm waiting on content, logins or answers, the clock pauses until I have them.

Each package includes a number of revision rounds. A revision changes what was built within the scope, such as wording, layout or colours. A new page or feature is not a revision.

After launch, website builds include 14 days of fixes for anything that doesn't work as agreed, at no charge.

07 What I need from you

Your text, images, logo and product details, or a clear note of what you'd like me to create. Access to your hosting, domain, WordPress or Shopify account where the work needs it. Answers to my questions within a reasonable time.

You confirm that you have the right to use any content you send me, and that the site's content and products are legal where you sell them.

If a project is paused on your side for more than 30 days with no reply, I may close it. Any money for work not yet done is refunded as set out below.

08 Refunds

Before I start work: if you change your mind before I've started, you get a full refund. Just email me.

Website builds: once work has started, I refund the part of the price that covers work not yet done. If I can't deliver what we agreed, you get your money back for anything I haven't delivered.

Fixes: if I can't fix the problem, you get a full refund.

Discovery: refundable until I send you the written plan and quote. After that it isn't refunded, but it still comes off the project price if you go ahead within 60 days.

Audits: refundable until the audit is delivered.

Monthly plans: a month you've already paid for in advance isn't refunded once that month's work has started, but you can cancel any time so it doesn't renew. If I didn't do the work for a month you paid for, that month is refunded in full. The care plan is billed after the work, so there is nothing to refund in advance.

Refunds go back through PayPal to the way you paid, usually within 5 to 10 working days. If something isn't right, please email me before opening a dispute or chargeback; I'll always try to sort it out directly first.

09 Who owns the work

Once your order is paid in full, the website, its design and the code I wrote for you are yours. Until then, I keep the right to hold back the final files or launch.

Themes, plugins, apps and fonts made by others stay under their own licences. Where a paid licence is needed, I'll tell you before buying it, and it is bought in your name or passed to you.

I may show the finished work in my portfolio. If you'd rather I didn't, tell me and I won't.

10 Hosting and other services

Hosting, domains, premium themes, plugins, apps, email services and ad spend are not included in my prices unless a package says so. You pay those providers directly.

I'm not responsible for outages, price changes or policy changes at those providers, including Shopify, WordPress hosts, PayPal, Google and Meta.

11 Privacy and confidentiality

I use the details you give me (your name, email and project brief) only to deliver your order and contact you about it. I keep any logins and business information you share private, and I don't sell or share your details.

PayPal handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.

12 Limits

I work carefully and test before handing over, but I can't promise a site will never have an issue, or guarantee search rankings, ad results or sales. My total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Please keep your own backups of anything important. The care plan includes backups if you'd like me to handle that.

13 Changes and the law

I may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one on this page on the day you paid.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute falls under the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In practice, I'd much rather we sort out any problem by talking it through.
